Jakub is an independent expedition filmmaker and cinematographer drawn to remote cultures, changing worlds, and the quiet power of natural light.

Fascinated by places far from home since childhood, he once dreamed of becoming an archaeologist, a sailor, or an explorer. It wasn’t until his late twenties that he found a medium that allowed him to become all three — filmmaking.

Working primarily in remote environments, his cinematography is grounded in intention. He favors natural light, minimal setups, and a deep sensitivity to place. This approach allows him to adapt to unpredictable conditions while crafting images that feel both cinematic and honest.

Whether filming in the jungles of Congo or the highlands of Nepal, Jakub brings a calm presence and a patient, respectful process to every story he enters.

His work has been trusted by organizations such as Greenpeace, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, Earthrise Studio, Studio Birthplace, Sony Alpha, and Rolex.

Based between Bali and Europe, he continues to pursue stories rooted in cultural depth, human resilience, and meaningful change.
