Hi, my name is Jakub.

Since childhood, I have been captivated by stories of people from distant lands leading different lives. Growing up, I dreamed of becoming an archaeologist, a sailor, or an explorer, but as I tried out various professions in my twenties, I felt limited by the idea of being just one thing. That was until I discovered filmmaking.

Filmmaking allows me to see and experience life from different perspectives which is what I love. I’m curious about how people live, passionate about telling authentic stories and creating beautiful imagery preferably in outdoor settings. As a former athlete, I enjoy being out of my comfort zone while working on projects whether that means camping in the jungles of Congo, fixing cars on a remote road in the middle of the night, or freezing in an abandoned gondola station.

As I grow as a person and a filmmaker I want to use my craft to positively impact the world and I believe that good storytelling has the power to do exactly that.

My curiosity never rests, and I'm always looking for the next story to tell or adventure to experience.
